Siddharth concentrates his practice on patent counseling and strategy for clients developing advanced technologies. His work includes advising on patent portfolio development, freedom-to-operate analyses, IP due diligence for corporate transactions, and strategic guidance on standard-essential patents (SEPs).
Siddharth counsels clients in sectors spanning AI hardware and software, optics-based imaging systems, and robotics applications. He has experience in projects involving AI-driven optical components, LLM training for robotics, and coder technologies for video compression standards. His foundation in optics also informs his work on imaging technologies and laser-based applications.
Before becoming an Associate at Mintz, Siddharth worked as a Patent Agent, drafting and prosecuting patent applications and responding to Office Actions. He has authored multiple publications, including work featured in Nature Photonics, and is a co-inventor of an algorithm used to characterize one of the shortest light pulses ever generated.
Siddharth earned his JD from the Boston University School of Law. Prior to law school, he received a PhD in physics from MIT, where his research focused on modeling and characterizing attosecond laser pulses. He also has a BS from the University of Southern California.
